Overall Project Task:
Changes in the local municipal officials’ urban development plan have introduced an opportunity to reduce civil works’ input by the rational redesign at the referred section from km 16,5 till km 18,86. It had been found obvious, that anticipated design variation would entail (a) significant savings in construction investment and (b) far improved geometric parameters for traffic safety. Several alignment options should have been generated and analyzed inter-comparatively to attain maximum advantage from the new conditions.
