Overall Project Task:
BT was responsible for undertaking route alignment option analysis, feasibility study, detail design and bidding documentation for reconstruction of the 50 km long secondary road, including LARP and EIA preparation.
Detailed Description of Actual Services Delivered by BT Ltd:
Road network total length: 186.55 km; Width: various, two lanes Pavement: asphalt concrete; including rehabilitation of bridges and structures
• Road pavement Assessment based on forecasted traffic loads
• Pavement calculations and design
• Structural calculations and design, including drainage systems
• Engineering Design incl. Preparation of Bidding Documents
• Improvement of road safety level
• Preparation of construction cost estimate
• Preparation of LARP for affected landowners
• Preparation of EIA, EMP
The Road network also included km 84 – km 107 section of the Gomi-Sachkhere-Chiatura-Zestaphoni road. Due to large-scale landslide areas, the section had been divided into two parts at the design preparation stage by separating landslide areas from the remaining sections of the road.
